easyJet: £66.50 baby’s first passport discount

You can get £66.50 off the price of an easyJet holiday using the FIRSTPASSPORT promo code when travelling with a child under the age of two.

The discount is equivalent to the cost of a child’s passport in the UK, excluding delivery.

There’s no minimum spend, but a maximum of one promotional discount per booking applies.

The promo code must be applied on the ‘extras’ page of easyJet.com/holidays or quoted to your local travel agent at the time of booking.

easyJet is only giving you a discount, so it’s still up to you to apply for and purchase any required passport.

Promo code valid for new bookings made before 26 November for holidays completed by 31 October, 2028.

Wizz Air: All You Can Fly subscription

If you travel a lot, then this new membership from Wizz might appeal. You’ll pay £445 a year for unlimited flights.

In sounds good, but there are a number of catches:

• There’s an extra fee on each flight – last we checked this was around €10
• You can only book seats on flights that depart in the next three days, making return trips a little risky
• It doesn’t include handheld or checked bags
• Only one personal item is included (max. size 40 x 30 x 20 cm)
• If you miss three flights your membership will be cancelled without a refund
• It’ll automatically renew each year unless you cancel

Overall it sounds like more hassle than it’s worth, especially when you consider there are cheap tickets available in advance from Wizz and other airlines.

However, if you’re retired or have the flexibility to travel regularly and at the drop of a hat, it could be worth a look.

Santander Cycles: free bike ride

You can get a free 30-min ride on one of the Santander Cycles bikes (or e-bikes) when you download the new TFL Santander Cycles app and use the code NEWAPP. The app’s available from 9pm on 17 November and the deal runs until 30 September 2027.

Asda: get 8p a litre off if you spend £60 in store

From now until November 10, if you spend £60 in one shop at Asda and scan your Asda Rewards App, you can get a coupon for 8p off per litre of fuel to use at an Asda fuel station.

To take advantage of the offer you need to have signed up to Asda Rewards and use your account when making the purchase.

The money off coupon then automatically appears in your Asda Rewards app and can be redeemed by scanning your Asda Rewards barcode, followed by the coupon, at the pump or kiosk.

The money-off deal will work at all 321 of Asda’s fuel stations nationwide.

Halfords: Free 10-point car check and £5 voucher

If you join the Halfords Motoring Club for free, you can get a free £5 voucher to spend online or in-store at Halfords and a free 10-point car check, worth £15.

There’s a Premium tier for £54 per year that gets you your MOT (worth £44.99), 2 10-point car checks, a free fitting of wiper blades or headlights and 5% off at the autocentres and in-store. 

This is generally a pretty good deal, but definitely worthwhile if you’re having enough work on your car to make the most of the 5% off, don’t know how to change your headlights or windscreen wipers and would usually do your MOT at Halfords. 

Kwik Fit: Free winter car check (ended)

Kwik Fit is offering drivers a free six-point winter car check ahead of the clocks changing in October.

The check covers:

• Tyres
• Battery
• Antifreeze
• Wiper blades
• Windscreen wash system
• Light bulbs

To sign up to book your free vehicle safety check at your local centre, all you need to do is pop in your car registration, your postcode and then select the service centre and time slot that works best for you to book.

Tesco: 8p a litre off fuel when you spend £60 in store (ended)

Tesco shoppers have until 18 October to get 8p a litre off fuel if they spend £60 in store.

People shopping at a Tesco between now and 18 October will get the vouchers at the check out, whether they use a Clubcard or not.

Vouchers can be used to get up to 8p a litre off at any of the 500 Tesco filling stations across the UK, but they need to be used by 25 October. There’s a maximum discount of £8 and a minimum fuel spend too.

Coupons need to be presented in paper form at the kiosk and redeemed in the same transaction as fuel purchase.

Be aware that there are some exclusions to the deal in terms of what you can buy to qualify for the discount. Excluded purchases are things bought online or via Whoosh, at any café, tobacco kiosk, opticians, phone store, concessions, Travel Money, Tesco Bank, purchases of lottery products, e-top up, savings stamps, postage stamps, carrier bags, prescription medicines, and infant milk formulae. 

Only one coupon per transaction and coupons cannot be redeemed via Pay at Pump, unmanned petrol stations, NI, IOM, or Tesco Express stores selling Esso fuel.

Barclays/Tesco: get 5% cashback on fuel (ended)

From 1 May to 31 July 2026, Barclays customers can get 5% cashback on fuel from Tesco fuel stations. You can get cashback on purchases between £5 and £200, and you need to use a personal Barclays debit card to get it. Cashback is capped at £10 per month – so you can earn on up to £200 of fuel.

With Unleaded currently costing an average of £1.57 per litre, if you usually spend less than £200 on fuel in a month, you’re bringing the average cost per litre down to £1.49.

Barclays currently has a switching bonus of £200, so you can earn a little extra cash on a switch and save money on petrol.

£3 bus fare cap

Bus fares have been capped at £3 one way in England from January 2025. Not all bus companies are taking part – you can see a detailed list of the companies and routes here.

And as recently announced by Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, from January 1 2027, the cap will fall to £2 for the rest of the year.

Free bus travel for kids during August (ended)

The Government has made bus travel free for all children, between five and 15 years old, on local routes in England until August 31.

The government has listed all the participating bus services on its website.

TFL – Free Santander Cycle rides in London (ended)

Every Sunday in July you can pick up a Santander Cycle – including e-bikes – to get about in London for free.

You can have as many 60 minute rides as you like, but each Sunday has a different code to get you access to the bike.

The codes are:
