Every week I spend hours looking at discounts and deals to pick the good from the bad. I’ll only share ones which I think are worth considering – but remember you’re only saving money if you’re buying something you need and can afford.

Barclaycard: Huge Avios welcome bonus

If you’re eligible for the Barclaycard Avios Plus credit card there’s a huge boosted welcome offer, potentially worth £376 after fees if you convert them to Nectar. More here.

Netflix: £5 Amazon credit with £50 spend

It’s rare to see a saving on Netflix, so this offer on Amazon (possibly just for Prime members) will get you £5 to spend at Amazon when you buy a £50 Netflix gift card. Here’s more.

All Points East: Two for one tickets via O2 or Virgin Media

Until Sunday 10 July anyone with an O2 or Virgin Media contract can get two-for-one tickets to All Point East festival in London. You’ll need to sign into you O2 Priority app to get the offer. Don’t forget, there’s a hack to get access to the app for just £10 if you’re with other networks or broadband providers.

Brewdog: 2 free pints

Sign up to Brewdog’s free loyalty scheme and you’ll get a voucher for a couple of pints of Punk IPA at one of their bars. More here.

Amazon: Free 30-day Prime membership

Amazon Prime Day is next week on (confusingly) 12 and 13 July. There are already some early deals on devices and subscriptions, but I’d hold tight until the full sale starts in case there are extra discounts.

I’ll share any decent deals early next week (if there are any), but it’s worth seeing if you’re eligible for a 30-day free trial, even if you’ve had one before. Here’s more.

Starzplay, Discovery, Britbox etc for 99p

If you do have Amazon Prime or Amazon Prime Video (remember the latter is £2 less each month) then you can add on an extra channel for 99p a month per channel. Once the month is over you’ll be charged full price unless you cancel. You can get this trial even if you’ve had a trial direct with the service before, but not if you’ve done it via Amazon.
