Every week I spend hours looking at discounts and deals to pick the good from the bad. I’ll only share ones which I think are worth considering – but remember you’re only saving money if you’re buying something you need and can afford.

Virgin Money: 1.71% easy-access savings

A big increase from Virgin Money for those with a current account with the bank. Your linked saver will now pay 1.71%, beating the next best rate of 1.6%, on balances of up to £25,000. More here.

Quidco x Amex: £50 cashback boost

Sign up for a new American Express credit card via Quidco before Sunday and you’ll get a £50 bonus on top of the usual cashback promotion. You must opt in. More here.

Quidco: £2 bonus with £5 spend

Another Quidco flash sale this weekend, opt in ot the offer (and check the exclusions), then spend £5 at a retailer to get a £2 bonus on top of the usual cashback rate for that shop. Here’s more.

Railcards: 1/3 off

This deal via Trainline will get you a digital railcard for £20 rather than £30. You’ll be able to get a 1/3 off tickets with it – though there will be restrictions depending on the type of card yo ubuy. Here’s more.

Craft Gin Club: First box for £9.95

Take out a free trial of the Telegraph and you’ll be able to pay just delivery costs for a box of gin and goodies. You can also still get a free book box, and from Monday there should be a free Vue ticket and Chili rental. More here.

Greene King: Free beer

Download the Season Ticket app before noon on Sunday and you’ll get a free pint from 3pm that day, timed so you’ll watch the Women’s Euros final in one of the Greene King pubs. More here.

Space NK: £20 off £100 spend

If there are regular beauty products you buy then this offer could be a good time to stock up on a few as you’ll get £20 off every £100 you spend with a code. Here’s more.

Shopmium: £1 bonus

Make two cashback claims this weekend on Shopmium and you’ll get a £1 bonus. And if you’re new to the app you can claim a free pack of Pringles. Here’s more.

Theme Parks: 2-4-1 tickets

I had my niece and nephew visit earlier this week so we took a trip to nearby Flamingo Land and had a blast. It wasn’t cheap, but we did get 30% off “on-the-day” prices via a £1 Kids Pass trial. Elsewhere, at the bigger theme parks such as Alton Towers you can get 2-4-1 tickets. More here.
