The Chase Saver account currently has a boosted interest rate of 5% for six months, available to new customers only.

Amex Platinum: last chance for £200 credit in 2024

It’s your last chance to get £150 restaurant credit and £50 Harvey Nichols credit in 2024. Meanwhile newbies can get 80,000 Amex Reward points if you spend £10,000 in the first six months of having the card.

Winter Fuel Payment: deadline to get up to £300

If you’re of State Pension age and receive Pension Credit or another means-tested benefit, you could be eligible for the Winter Fuel Payment this year. If you’ve not already applied for Pension Credit, you’ve got until 21 December.

Uber: 10% cashback on train tickets

If you use the Uber app to but a train, coach or Eurostar ticket, you’ll get 10% of the booking value back as Uber Credits.

Christmas veggies: 10p bags

Each year in the final week before Christmas, supermarkets drop the prices of vegetables to mere pennies. So far, we’ve seen reductions from Morrisons, Tesco, Aldi, Sainsbury’s, Lidl and Asda.
