Every week I spend hours looking at discounts and deals to pick the good from the bad. I’ll only share ones which I think are worth considering – but remember you’re only saving money if you’re buying something you need and can afford.

Monese: 1.5% cashback offer returns

New and existing Monese customers will be able to earn 1.5% cashback on most purchases until the end of the year. Newbies can also get up to £30 as a bonus when signing up. Here’s how.

Halifax: £150 switch

If you’ve not had a switching bonus from Halifax since April 2020 then you will be eligible for this £150 offer. More here.

Amex x PayPal: Decent money back offers

Gradually over the week offers have been appearing on American Express cards for money back when using it via PayPal. I’ve got £15 back on £70 on one and £20 back on £100 on another. More here.

HSBC: £170 switch ends

If you’re after a big bank switching deal, this £170 offer from HSBC ends on Monday. Here’s more.

Odeon: Limitless pass discount

If you go to an Odeon, especially one in Central London, then this Groupon deal could be a big money saver. More here.

Books: Four for the price of three

Secondhand bookstore WOB is giving the cheapest book free when you buy four. I’ve picked up some titles I’ve been after for a while for a total of £11 after the discount. Here’s more.

Kids Pass: 45-day £1 trial

The standard trial for this activity discount pass seems to be around 15 or 30 days, but I’ve found one (via Currys) that offers 45 days for a quid. Start this next week and it’ll last most of the summer holidays. Or there’s an option to get a shorter trial for free via cashback sites. More here.

Credit cards: Huge Avios & Amex welcome bonuses end

If you’re eligible for the Barclaycard Avios Plus credit card there’s a huge boosted welcome offer, potentially worth £376 after fees if you convert them to Nectar. This ends Monday.

Or the Amex Preferred Rewards Gold card welcome bonus could earn you £280 as Nectar. Both require a £3,000 spend in the first three months. More on both cards here.
