Every week I spend hours looking at discounts and deals to pick the good from the bad. I’ll only share ones which I think are worth considering – but remember you’re only saving money if you’re buying something you need and can afford.

Will Aid: Get a will for £100

In November as a part of Will Aid you can get a “free” appointment with a solicitor to create a will. You’re asked to donate £100 for a single will or £180 for a joint “mirror will to a partner charity.

You can book from Monday 4 September – the slots go pretty quickly, so it’s worth signing up now if you’re interested. Here’s more about Will Aid.

Cinema Day: £3 tickets to the cinema

Saturday 2 September is National Cinema Day. To celebrate, you can get tickets for just £3 tickets at most UK cinemas. Odeon, Vue, Cineworld and Picturehouse are all taking part. Find out how to get £3 tickets.

Savings: 1 yr fix at 6.2%

NS&I have bucked the trend of falling fixed rate savings by introducing an account paying 6.2%. Find out more, plus the other top savings rates here.

ISAs: easy access at 4.55%

Another savings boost this week is from Cynergy who have increased their easy access ISA to 4.55%, while Virgin Money now offer 4.51%. More on these table toppers and other ISAs.

Avios: Get 60,000 bonus points via BA Amex credit card

This bonus could net you £200 profit after the annual fee if you convert your points to Nectar. Or you can use the 60,000 points towards flights. But you will need to spend £5,000 in three months. Here’s how to get it.

Amazon: get £4 off £12 spend (select accounts)

Selected Amazon accounts can get £4 off a £12 spend at Amazon if you choose to use Amazon Pickup. You have to be selected to participate and you need to claim the offer on the website before you make your order. See if you’re eligible.

London Theatre Week: extra 10% off

The London Theatre Week sale ends on Sunday (though in previous years it has been extended), and if you’re still to book there’s a new 10% off code to save even more. Get the code here.

Santander: student prize draw

If you’re heading off to university, or already studying, you can enter Santander’s prize draw to potentially win £500 to spend on living expenses or use at the Santander Aspire website. You need to sign up for Santander scholarships by 31 October. Enter the prize draw.

Beer: free Birra Moretti

Birra Moretti is giving away 50,000 free pints at a huge range of pubs around the country. You just need to sign up, select a pub and you’ll get an email with your voucher. How to get your free pint.

Nectar: bonus points when you buy fruit and veg 

Nectar is running a promotion where you can get extra points when you buy fruit and veg. Find out how to get bonus Nectar points.

Uber: get 10% back in Uber credit when you book a train

You can book trains and coaches on Uber now, including the Eurostar. To promote the new offering, Uber is giving back 10% in Uber Credits when you book before 30 September. Here’s more.
