Andy’s deals of the week 2 April 2022

My pick of the best offers and savings.

Every week I spend hours looking at discounts and deals to pick the good from the bad. I’ll only share ones which I think are worth considering – but remember you’re only saving money if you’re buying something you need and can afford.

Don’t forget to check out my Clever Cash Deals Instagram account. This is where I’ll share any flash offers that will have come and gone by the time this roundup is published.

There’s a new best buy for easy-access savings, with Chase offering 1.5% on balances up to £250,000. More here.

Bank switching: New £125 / Last chance £150

Some bank news too. Halifax has launched a new £125 switching deal, while it’s your last chance to get the £150 deal for switching to Natwest, which could be worth another £50 if you choose a Reward account and open a regular saver.

And those fed up with switching deals and just want money for opening a current account, then First Direct now offers £20 for doing just that. But, if you take this cash it will rule you out of larger switching bonuses at a later date. Here’s more.

Disney+: £6 for three months

If you collect Tesco Clubcard points then there’s a limited-time offer getting your three months of streaming service Disney+ for £6 in points, rather than the usual £8. More here.

Coda: How to watch the Oscar-winning “Best Picture” for free

If Will Smith hadn’t slapped Chris Rock, everyone would have been talking about the small indie flick Coda winning Best Picture. You can watch it for free via a handful of Apple TV+ offers. Here’s more.

Co-op: £3 off £10 spend

New joiners of the Co-op membership can get £3 off a £10 spend on food in-store. Here’s more.
