Andy’s deals of the week 13 May 2023

My pick of the best offers and savings.

Every week I spend hours looking at discounts and deals to pick the good from the bad. I’ll only share ones which I think are worth considering – but remember you’re only saving money if you’re buying something you need and can afford.

Don’t forget to check out my Clever Cash Deals Instagram account. This is where I’ll share any flash offers that will have come and gone by the time this roundup is published.

This week’s deals

New £150 Club Lloyds switch offer

I’m a fan of the Club Lloyds current account so the good news is a bank switch offer is back. Combined with a year of Disney+ and a 6.25% regular saver and it’s a decent money saver/maker.

The bad news is the bonus has dropped by £50 from the one earlier this year. Plus new rules mean you can’t get it if you’ve recently had a Halifax switch incentive AND it’s harder to get if you already have a Club Lloyds account.

Vue: Free ticket with £6 Asda pizza

If you’re looking for a bargain Vue cinema ticket then this meal deal at Asda is great value. Here’s more.

Petrol: 5p off a litre at Morrisons

Spend £35 at Morrisons and you’ll get a voucher to cut the cost of filling your tank. Here’s more.

National Trust: Free family day pass

There are 50,000 passes to use at National Trust properties available until the end of June. Here’s more.

Magzter: £19.99 or less annual subscription

Though digital magazine are available free via your local library, this is a decent price via Groupon for access to hundreds of titles. Here’s more.

Nike: 25% off online

Members of the free Nike scheme can save 25% on almost everything until 16 May 2023. More here.

Mubi: £4 for 4 months

The cult/world/indie movie streaming service is offering four months for £4. Here’s more.

Halifax: £20 travel credit card welcome

The Halifax Clarity card is a great one for fee-free spending overseas, though you’ll be charged interest on cash withdrawals. New customers can now get a £20 bonus when you make a transaction. More here.
