Membership discounts

The Fork: £20 off restaurants

The Fork is a free website and app where you can find and book restaurants and get discounts, sometimes up to 50% off.

When you use the app regularly you get points called ‘Yums’. Every time you make a booking, you get 100 ‘Yums’ and you’ll get 300 Yums when you book restaurants tagged with ‘Yums x3’.

Once you earn 1,000 Yums you get £20 off your next booking and 2,000 Yums gets you a £50 discount. You can find out more about The Fork’s Yums here.

Until 30 September 2025, you can earn double the standard Yums for your first booking with the referral code 83CCA835 — just enter it at the end of the booking process and make sure you dine before 30 September.

You’ll get the increased 1,000 points (rather than usual 500) three days after your meal. That’s worth £20 to spend on future bookings.

We’ve covered more restaurant discount websites in our full guide.

Meerkat Meals: 2-4-1 for £1

You can sign up to Meerkat Meals and get 2-4-1 meals Sunday to Thursday. You need to buy a qualifying insurance product from Compare the Market for access, but this trick gets you a year’s membership for £1. You’ll also get 2-4-1 cinema tickets on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Tastecard: 2-4-1 or 50% off

You can save 50% with Tastecard at hundreds of restaurants. We’ve got a post which we regularly update with the latest Tastecard offers, often including one month free or a four-month trial for £1.

Well worth giving it a go and seeing if you think you’ll use it regularly. There’s also Gourmet Society which does a similar thing.

National Burger Day discounts

Thursday 21 August 2025 is National Burger Day, and it’s worth checking to see if your favourite restaurant is taking part with special burgers or discounts.

Some might be doing deals through the week and into the bank holiday weekend, too. Last year, the day coincided with the Be Clever With Your Cash team meeting in London, so we celebrated with BOGOF Shake Shack.

A few of the offers we’ve spotted so far include:

London Restaurant Festival: set menus and deals (ended)

OpenTable is running the London Restaurant Festival throughout June, with set menus and deals at restaurants across the city.

Menus include The Cinnamon Club offering a special menu for just £29 per person and Salt Yard Borough offering live cooking for £35 per person.

The Ivy: £20 off £100 spend (ended)

From Sunday 1 June to 30 June 2025, you can get £20 off a £100 spend at The Ivy or The Ivy Asia restaurants when you book via this link.

There are very sparse T&Cs for the offer, but you’ll get £20 off if you spend at least £100 (excluding the service charge).

MeatLiquor: 50% off food & drink (ended)

At certain points in the year, top burger joint MeatLiquor emails members of its list 50% off vouchers. These tend to happen on bank holidays and your birthday – so sign up now!

Prezzo: buy one main, get another for £1 (ended)

From Sunday to Friday, you can get a £1 main with every full priced one until 30 January.

The offer includes pizza, pasta, grills or salad and you can use it with up to 12 people – so you can get a maximum of six full priced mains and six £1 ones.

You must sign up with your email address to get the discount code and some restaurants won’t be offering the deal including: Prezzo Euston, Glasshouse Street, Kensington, Kings Cross, St Martin’s Lane and Northumberland Avenue.

Prezzo’s also offering some other new year discounts, such as 25% off food between 6 January – 3 April.

Terms and conditions apply.
