Andy’s deals of the week 1 October 2022

My pick of the best offers and savings.

Every week I spend hours looking at discounts and deals to pick the good from the bad. I’ll only share ones which I think are worth considering – but remember you’re only saving money if you’re buying something you need and can afford.

Don’t forget to check out my Clever Cash Deals Instagram account. This is where I’ll share any flash offers that will have come and gone by the time this roundup is published.

This week’s deals

Barclays: 5% interest on savings

If you have or open a Barclays current account and add the paid for Blue Rewards membership (it’s £5 but having two direct debits will wipe this out), you can earn 5% on up to £5,000. More here.

Petrol: 5p off a litre at Morrisons

Spend £40 at Morrisons and you’ll get a voucher to save on petrol. More here.

National Trust: Free one-day pass

If you’re quick you can claim a pass for two adults and four children to visit a National Trust attraction this autumn. Here’s more.

Ocado: £20 off, free delivery and 2% back

Add your debit or credit card to Airtime Rewards to get 2% back on your Ocado shopping, while new customers to the supermarket can get £20 off their first order and free delivery for three months. More here.

Railcards: 1/3 off

If you are new to Trainline you can claim 33% off a one or three-year railcard. Here’s more.

Referrals: The best welcome offers

From coffee to shoes and banks to flowers, you can often get a better deal joining using a referral link. Of course, sometimes the opposite is true and these deals are worse than ones you can find elsewhere. To help, I’ve taken a look at some which are worth using (and perhaps sharing). More here.
