Andy’s deals of the week 1 April 2023

My pick of the best offers and savings.

Every week I spend hours looking at discounts and deals to pick the good from the bad. I’ll only share ones which I think are worth considering – but remember you’re only saving money if you’re buying something you need and can afford.

Don’t forget to check out my Clever Cash Deals Instagram account. This is where I’ll share any flash offers that will have come and gone by the time this roundup is published.

This week’s deals

Lloyds to offer free Disney+

From Saturday you’ll be able to get a year of Disney+ for free via the Club Lloyds account. And there’s a trick so that some existing customers won’t have to wait for their current lifestyle benefit to expire.

Wine: 25% off six or more bottles

Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s & Morrisons currently have this multibuy wine offer. Here’s more.

Ben & Jerry’s: Free ice cream cone

Monday is Free Cone Day, with a free scoop available from participating Ben & Jerry’s outlets. Here’s more.

Days out: Free 3 month Kids Pass

The Lidl Plus app is giving away three-month passes for Kids Pass, which offers money off at attractions and activities – good timing for the Easter break. More here.

Don’t pay full price for the likes of Alton Towers or Thorpe Park – you can get 2-4-1 or free adult tickets via cereal packs or with train tickets. More here.

Big Issue: Free Easter Egg with subscription

If more home working means you don’t buy the Big Issue as much as you sued to, this subscription offer will continue to support vendors while getting you a free Divine Easter Egg. More here.

Paperchase: 80% off in final sale

All remaining Paperchase stores will close by Monday, with discounts now at 80%, and that could increase for anything left in the final days.

Beat the stamp price hike

The price of stamps goes up on Monday so you’ve only a few days to stock up at the current prices. But when you do that, be careful where you buy them – you could end up paying well over the real price.

Buses: £2 fares continue

The subsidised bus fare scheme was due to end this month but it’ll now run until the end of June. More here.

Halifax: Last chance for £175 switch offer

You’ve got until Monday to start a switch into a Halifax Reward account to earn £175. Here’s everything you need to know.

if i had £20,000 in an isa in the 1st tax year then i add £20,000 the next tax year will i get interest on the £40,000 that is now in the isa also does the interest stay & earn interest ?

    1. Yes interest on the whole 40K balance and interest on the interest too once it’s credited to the ISA. As far as I know the interest is 99% credited to an ISA by default, it *may* be an option to have interest paid to another account, if that’s not mentioned on the application when setting up and not on t&c then it won’t happen and it will just be added within ISA account.
