American Express Shop Small starts Saturday
One of my favourite ways to save money is back. The American Express Shop Small offer starts on Saturday and runs for two weeks. Simply shop at participating small businesses and pay with an Amex credit card and you’ll get £5 back if you spend at least £10. Here’s how I make the most of the offer each year, and how there should still be time to get a card if you don’t have one.
Eligible users can get a free £5 voucher from Amazon for adding a Mastercard as their default 1-click payment card. Here’s how to find out if you can get it.
A similar value freebie here, but to get it you need to buy a £50 Tesco gift card from the supermarket itself.
Morrisons is offering this deal to get a big bottle of Baileys for a tenner until Sunday.
If you’ve a smart Samsung TV you could be able to get three months of the new BBC, ITV and Channel 4 streaming service Britbox for free – up from the standard 30-days. There are lots of classic Christmas specials on there, and from Boxing Day all the old Dr Who’s will be added.
I mentioned The Times digital subscription the other week, but the deal has got better as you can now get one month of Times+ for free. In return you get access to Times+ which gives you a weekend two for one voucher at the Odeon every week and a movie rental at Rakuten and selected Kindle book every month. Sign up now and you’ll be able to get the freebies in both December and January. Just remember to cancel.
If you’ve got a Mastercard you can get first dibs on the Get into London Theatre sale from Friday. Tickets for big shows start from £10.
Throughout December you can get unlimited 30 minute rides over a 24 hour period on one of the many, many Santander Cycles.
LAST CHANCE – Bank Switch offers to end at Natwest
If you fancy the idea of switching bank – or you’re a serial switcher like me – then the last of the big cash offers is closing this week, following the end of Lloyds, HSBC, Barclays and RBS incentives in recent weeks. These could return, but if you don’t want to risk it then there’s the chance to get £150 from Natwest.
