Andy’s deals of the week 3 July 2021

My pick of the best offers and savings.

Every week I spend hours looking at discounts and deals to pick the good from the bad. I’ll only share ones which I think are worth considering – but remember you’re only saving money if you’re buying something you need and can afford.

Don’t forget to check out my Clever Cash Deals Instagram account. This is where I’ll share any flash offers that will have come and gone by the time this roundup is published.

1. Virgin Money: £150 voucher switch bonus

Virgin Money has changed the switching offer for new customers. It’s now a £150 Virgin Experience Days voucher.

The same rules apply as before, but it’s good news for those put off by free wine, or those who previously had a Yorkshire or Clydesdale account when the offers first began – some of those will now be eligible.

Here’s more information, how it compares to other offers and my review of the account.

2. Stevie: Two Odeon tickets and a £10 Turtle Bay gift card for £9.99

Sign up for the Stevie discount appand you can get £5 off the “great value” plan, which includes two Odeon tickets. So for £9.99 (rather than £14.99) you’ll get the tickets, a £10 Turtle Bay gift card and access to further discounts at restaurants.

Or you can get just one year of the basic membership with the Turtle Bay voucher for free (normally £9.99).

3. Craft Beer: 50% off new beer club

I’ve blagged a code that’ll get you two beer boxes from Beacon & Buck at half price. Depending on which beers you use and how many you want in a box it could work out as little as 95p a can. Here’s more.

4. Theatre: Kids go free

Kids Week in London’s West End is back. For each adult who buys a ticket, a kid goes free, and further children are half price. Tickets are on sale now for performances through all of August. Here’s more.

5. Amazon Business: Free £100 gift card

If you run a business you can apply for an Amazon Business American Express credit card. Those accepted will get a £100 Amazon voucher and no-fee on the card for one year. Here’s more.

6. Supermarkets: Free yoghurt and 50p profit

If you buy a 400ml tub of new dairy-free yoghurt from The Collective you can claim the approx £2 cost back. And if you get it from Sainsbury’s or Waitrose you can get another 50p back on top.

7. LAST CHANCE: Free £5 Love to Shop voucher

It’s your last chance to sign up to Snoop (an app that monitors your spending and helps you identify ways to save) and you can get a £5 voucher that can be used at John Lewis, Asda, Uber Eats and more. Ends Monday.

(A quick reminder that just because you can get this top-up, only use it if there’s something you want to buy on Amazon – not just because you’ve got the offer).
