Andy’s deals of the week 9th April 2021

My pick of the best offers and savings.
Andy Webb's deals of the week

Every week I spend hours looking at discounts and deals to pick the good from the bad. I’ll only share ones which I think are worth considering – but remember you’re only saving money if you’re buying something you need and can afford.

This week I’ve got a new bank switching bonus from Halifax, 50p Goose Island beer, a £10 bonus from Chip and more.

Don’t forget to check out my Clever Cash Deals Instagram account. This is where I’ll share any flash offers that will have come and gone by the time this roundup is published.

Halifax:£100 switching bonus returns

There’s a new bank bonus available, and it’s open to new and existing Halifax customers, includes anyone with a Reward account already.

You can’t have received a switching bonus from them since April 2020, but that means lots of you will be eligible for a bonus a second time around. More details here.

You can also get £5 a month with the Reward account – here’s my guide to the easiest way to do this.

CHIP: £10 bonus and 1.25% interest

New users for savings app Chip can get a £10 bonus in April, on top of the 1.25% interest rate (applicable on up to £10k in savings). Use the code CLEVER10 when you sign up. Here’s more on the offer and the account.

Sky Sports:£25 a month via NOW

This offer is back until the weekend and saves more than a third on the usual price. You’ll get it for £25 rather than £33.99 a month for six months, but can cancel early if you want.

Craft Beer: 50p Goose Island IPA

Use cashback app Shopmium at Sainsbury’s and you can pay 50p for a can of craft beer.

Hotel Chocolat: Easter choc clearance

Though supermarkets are almost completely out of Easter choc (I spotted some small eggs in my little Tesco yesterday), you can still pick up posher choc at Hotel Chocolat and Lindt with 50% discounts.
