Andy’s deals of the week 31st October 2019

The top deals this week

I only share deals and special offers on the blog which I think are really good value.

Plus, it’s worth following me on Instagram where I post any extra deals which come too late for the newsletter.

Bonus £2.50 from TopCashback today only

Thursday 31st October only you can get a bonus £2.50 when you spend £10 via TopCashback. You’ll need to activate the offer first. Here’s more information.

Free £30 John Lewis voucher with credit card

If you shop at John Lewis or Waitrose regularly then it’s a good time to apply for its reward credit card. You’ll get a £30 voucher if you spend £250 in 90 days, and also get double points at its stores for that time, worth 2%.

M&S Beauty Advent calendar now available

Spend £25 in M&S and you can buy the popular advent calendar for £40. It’s valued at £300 so as long as you actually need and use the contents it could be a great deal. It’s while stocks last.

Boots Advantage boost weekend (again)

These used to be every other month or so, but now seem to be far more regular. Still if there are things you need to buy at Boots this is the equivalent of 10% back in points. Ends Monday.

Five Odeon tix for £20 / 20% off at Vue

Two movie deals for you. This Groupon offer is back and could be a great way to save cash at the cinema in the run up to Christmas. There’s a 75p booking fee per ticket so it works out as £4.75 a ticket. Do check the exclusions though as not every film is included, and you’ll need to use the tickets by 17th December.

Or if you head to Tesco this weekend you can get a £25 Vue gift card for £20, and you’ll be able to stack that with other deals like Meerkat Movies to save even more money.

Spend £25 at Currys get a £5 voucher

If you are planning on buying something electrical now and can’t wait for the Black Friday sales, then this offer from Currys is worth looking at. You’ll get a £5 voucher to spend in December as long as you spend more than £25. Do price check elsewhere first though!

Lloyds £125 switch offer extended

I had problems signing up online for the Lloyds Club current account in order to get a £125 switching offer, and I wasn’t alone. The offer has now been extended until 12th November, but don’t leave it too long as if you also can’t apply online you might need to phone up (this took me 20 minutes) or go into a branch (which could take an hour!).

Amex Shop Small coming soon

I’m a big fan of the American Express annual offer where you can get £5 back when you spend £10 at participating small businesses. It’s due to return in December and it’s now available to add to your card in the offers section of the app or website. I’ll write more about it in a few weeks, but if you don’t have an Amex credit card and want to take part now is a good time to apply. Here are some of the best options.
