Every week I spend hours looking at discounts and deals to pick the good from the bad. I’ll only share ones which I think are worth considering – but remember you’re only saving money if you’re buying something you need and can afford.

1. Triodos: £60 voucher or donation

Open a new current account from Triodos and deposit £100 via a referral link to get £60 Neal’s Yard or Ethical Superstore voucher, or you can choose to donate the money to charity instead.

An additional £25 will also be donated on my behalf – so far it’s a total of £125!

The account is regarded as the most ethical one out there – though it does come with a £3 a month fee. More here.

2. BT Sport: Free The Athletic annual sub with a month pass

If you’re planning to buy a BT Sport month pass before 24 August 2021 you’ll get a year’s free subscription to online sports magazine The Athletic for free. More here.

3. Netflix & Chromecast: 32% off bundle

There’s an extra £9 off the ongoing Chromecast and Netflix bundle, making it £80.99 vs than just under £120 to buy separately. You’ll get the latest Chromecast streaming device from Google and six months of standard Netflix. More here.

4. Apple: Free Airpods for students with purchase

If you or your kids are off to university this Autumn, then one of the top deals is a free pair of Airpods (worth £159) if you buy selected MacBooks and iPads – which will be discounted for students too. More here.

5. Odeon:5 tickets for £25 via Groupon

There are a number of Odeon deals right now, but for families then this new offer from Groupon could be a winner. It brings the price down to £5 per ticket, less if you use a discount code on top. More on all cinema deals here.

6. Mubi: Three months for £1

A great chance to try a different streaming service for just a quid in this flash deal. You’ll get to watch a range of indie, classic, world and arthouse movies via Mubi. More here.
