This deal doesn’t require switching.
Good news for existing Santander customers or previous bank switchers – you’re eligible for this offer. But be quick as it could go at any time! Here’s what you need to know.

What is the offer?
If you go via specific partners and open a Santander current account, there’s the chance to get a £100 Amazon voucher. And if you go via TopCashback first, there’s another £20 up for grabs on top.
The eligible accounts are:
- Everyday
- Edge
- Edge Up
- Edge Explorer
You’ll need to use your debit card 30 times in the first 60 days, and you must keep your account open until you’ve received the voucher, but that’s it.
There’s no bank switching required. Remember there will be a hard search on your credit report.
However, getting the voucher isn’t quick or automatic. You’ll have to wait until mid February 2026 to claim it. I’ve explained how to do this it later in this article.
Who is eligible?
Both new and existing Santander customers can apply for an account via this promotion. There’s no restriction saying you’re ineligible if you’ve previously taken advantage of a similar offer, as you often get with bank switching deals.
You’ll also need to be over 18 years old and live in the UK.
When does the offer end
The offer started on 20 October 2025 and there’s no published end date. So this could go at any time. If you’re interested I wouldn’t waste any time – go, go, go.
Extra £20 cashback
Though you can get this offer via a number of comparison sites such as Moneysupermarket, Comparethemarket, GoCompare and Finder, you can get an extra £20 if you go via TopCashback.
All you need to do is click through and apply from the cashback site. There are no other actions required for this additional payment. You still need to use the debit card 30 times for the main £100 voucher.
It’ll take at least 90 days for this payment to be approved, and another four to six weeks after this for the money to hit your TopCashback account.

£20 TopCashback welcome offer
There’s also the chance for another £20 cashback on top of this if you are new to TopCashback. This is via an exclusive link on Be Clever With Your Cash. However this bonus requires you to spend £10 to trigger it.
Since the Santander offer doesn’t entail any spending, you’ll want to shop at another retailer first to get this free cash. There are thousands of big retailers on there, so there should be something you want to buy. And if not, you can pick up supermarket gift cards via the TopGiftcards section of the site.
How to get your voucher
When you first apply for the current account via your chosen partner, check your inbox for an email from VoucherSent. This will confirm that you’ve registered for the offer.
Assuming you then successfully get the account and use the debit card 30 times in 60 days, it’s then a waiting game.
The terms state that after 12 February 2026 you’ll get another email from VoucherSent with a link to claim your £100 Amazon voucher. You’ve then got 30 days to do this. Personally I’ve set a reminder in my calendar to check my inbox and spam folders on and around this date so I don’t forget.
If you don’t get the email by 26 February, you’ll find a link in the initial email to an enquiry form. You’ll have until 12 March to raise a query.
Debit card spending hack
The 30 debit card transactions in two months might not be an issue if you’re using the account for most of your spending. Though of course if you do that you’re missing out on cashback from specialist cards or gift cards.
The good news is there are ways to hack this, and spend with your debit card without actually spending. This includes using the card to pay off cashback credit cards and add to savings. I’ve covered this in detail in our debit card spending hack article.

Could this offer rule out future switching cash?
There is a risk that if you’ve not previously had switching money from Santander in the past that this promo could rule you out of one in the future.
The last Santander switch offer ran in the summer of 2025, worth £180. This was open only to people who had an open Santander current account on 1 January this year.
However, if you’d opened one since then, or had closed an account before that date, you could apply for the switch deal.
So if we assume it’s similar terms when Santander next runs a switch promotion, you might not be able to apply with an active Santander current account.
Though if you close your Santander account once you’ve got the Amazon voucher, you’d hopefully be eligible at some point in the future.
Which current account should you open?
There are four accounts you can go for, though I’d ignore the Edge Up. That leaves three.
The Santander Edge is a decent account, offering 1% cashback on core bills plus access to a 6% paying savings account. It’s certainly one I’d suggest anyone who pays bills goes for, as long as the cashback can cover the £3 a month fee.
The Santander Edge Explorer is an upgrade on this, with the addition of travel, mobile phone and breakdown cover, as well as 1% cashback on some debit card spending. You will pay £17 a month for this though, so it’s only worth it if you need those extras.
However, if you don’t need or want these extras, or indeed you already have one of them, then I’d go for the Santander Everday account. This is a pretty standard account with no perks, but it’s free and you’re allowed to have more than one (unlike the Edge and Edge Explorer).
