REAL DEAL: Use cashback apps and supermarket deals to get a tub for free!

If you fancy a tub of Ben & Jerry’s Cookie Dough ice cream for nothing this weekend, follow these two simple steps:

1. Head to Asda

In Asda it’s currently on offer at £2. If you don’t have one nearby it’s £2.45 at Sainsbury’s, so you’d get a tub for 45p. Make sure you keep your receipt. Only do this in-store as the next step won’t work with online shopping.

2. Download the Shopitize and CheckOutSmart apps for your phone

These are two great little apps that will give you cashback on certain products. Both are currently offering £1 when you buy a tub. To get the money you take a photo of your receipt and upload it via the app. You can read our Clever Site guide to Shopitize that takes you through step by step.

Once verified you’ll be credited with the money which you can withdraw when you hit £5 credit. You’ll get £1 on each app. There are plenty of offers on each app so you should get there after a month or so.

Shopitize specifies the cookie dough flavour, though if you don’t like that one you can still save £1 on any flavour through CheckOutSmart.
