Andy’s deals of the week 17 July 2021

My pick of the best offers and savings.

Every week I spend hours looking at discounts and deals to pick the good from the bad. I’ll only share ones which I think are worth considering – but remember you’re only saving money if you’re buying something you need and can afford.

Don’t forget to check out my Clever Cash Deals Instagram account. This is where I’ll share any flash offers that will have come and gone by the time this roundup is published.

Currensea: £10 back from £150 spend

This smart debit card is designed to reduce the cost of using your debit or credit card abroad. It’s not my top card to use, but it’s certainly a decent backup for your wallet.

And this promotion will get you £10 cashback once you’ve spent £150 with it in a foreign currency.

Marks & Spencer: £5 off £30 food

Check your Sparks loyalty account to see if you’ve got an offer to save a fiver when you spend £30 or more on food in M&S.

Tastecard: 90-day free trial

From Monday most restaurants should be operating at close to full capacity when indoor restrictions end. If that means you’re likely to eat out more then it’s a good time to nab a free 90-day trial of Tastecard.

Theme Parks: Two for One tickets

If you’re planning to ride some rollercoasters over the summer then you don’t need to pay full whack.

That’s thanks to a number of 2-4-1 and 50% off deals. Here’s a round-up of those offers, including a chance to win free tickets.

Rakuten: Free movie rental

You’ve only a couple of weeks left to claim a free £5 credit to spend on Rakuten through a free trial of the Starz streaming service. Remember to cancel the latter if you don’t want to pay for it after the trial.

Travelodge: 10% off city stays

For those who are still looking for a UK holiday this summer then this offer from Travelodge could help you pay less for town and city hotels. There’s 10% off, with prices already pretty low at some destinations.
