Andy’s deals of the week 15 May 2021

My pick of the best offers and savings.
Andy Webb's deals of the week

Every week I spend hours looking at discounts and deals to pick the good from the bad. I’ll only share ones which I think are worth considering – but remember you’re only saving money if you’re buying something you need and can afford.

Don’t forget to check out my Clever Cash Deals Instagram account. This is where I’ll share any flash offers that will have come and gone by the time this roundup is published.

Some articles on the site contain affiliate links, which provide a small commission to help fund our work. However, they won’t affect the price you pay or our editorial independence. Read more here.

Monese: Free £15.05 bonus

Sign up to this digital bank and you can get a £5 reward when you first spend with the debit card and an extra £15 after spending £500. There’s a £4.95 card delivery charge, so you’ll be up £15.05 in total.

Nectar: 99 free points

Ok, so these free points are only worth 49.5p, but it takes 30 seconds to nab them via an Esso competition.

It’s also worth checking for emails from eBay as I’ve been sent an offer for 500 bonus Nectar points (worth £2.50) when I spend £5 – though this will only be for selected customers.

Waitrose: £5 off online

Spend £40 online and you can get a fiver off your online Waitrose shop. Get the code.

Tastecard: 90-day free trial

With up to six people allowed inside restaurants from Monday (and more outside) it could be a good time to check out a Tastecard free trial to save money on your meals.

You can get three months free, and you’ll also get discounts on cinema tickets and movie rentals.

Paperchase: 25% off everything

Need to stock up on greetings cards, wrapping paper or other similar things? Then this is a good chance to get money off at Paperchase. It’s online only.

Odeon: £9.99 Limitless membership

If you do want to return to the cinema you can now get Odeon’s unlimited ticket membership for £9.99 a month or £11.99 in London, saving £8 a month. This price is only until September when it goes back to the higher level.

There’s also a reduced minimum term of three months – down from the previous 12.

Travelodge: 15% off

I’ve just used this offer to rebook a hotel room for later this summer, saving me £14. It ends on Monday, but is valid for bookings until September.
