Pub promotions
2-4-1 Barcardi cocktails
For Rum Month, Barcardi is offering 2-4-1 cocktails at a range of venues nationwide. To get it you just need to fill out this form and choose a venue to redeem your cocktails. There are a range of different ones available, depending on the venue you choose, including Pina Coladas, Daiquiris and Mojitos.
You’ll then get an email with a voucher you can use at the venue and you’ll get one of the cocktails for free.
This offer ends on 31 July 2024 or until 10,000 vouchers have been claimed.
Brewdog: £5 cocktail tasting for two
Book a slot at Brewdog bars across the UK to taste three canned cocktails each for a total of £5. Basically it means you’ll get three cans which you’ll share.
It’s running until 15 August 2024.
Free Brooklyn pint
You can get a free pint of Brooklyn Pilsner, Stonewall Inn IPA or Special Effects until 27 August 2024 or 5,000 claims are made – whichever comes sooner.
To claim it, you just need to purchase a draught pint from any pub in England or Wales and keep the receipt. You can then claim back up to £7.50 by heading here and filling out the form, uploading a photo of the receipt and entering your bank details.
Greene King: free Pimm’s and lemonade
You can grab a free Pimm’s and lemonade at participating Greene King pubs until midnight on Wednesday 31 July 2024 or 25,000 codes have been claimed, whichever comes first. This isn’t at all Greene King pubs, sadly.
To get it, just go here and enter your mobile number to get a WhatsApp or text with a code. You can see the participating pubs here.
Leffe: free pint
There are 20,000 free pints of Leffe up for grabs at participating pubs until 31 October 2024 or when they’re all gone – whichever is sooner.
You’ll need to buy the pint first and then claim your money back. Enter your phone number on the Leffe site and you’ll be texted the link to claim your cashback. You’ll need to submit a photo of your receipt and your bank details and you should get the refund within 30 minutes.
Poretti: free bottle or pint at a bar
You can get a free 660ml bottle of Poretti from a participating retailer or a free pint from a participating bar until 18 August 2024 or they run out of promotional pints.
The retailers all seem to be supermarkets, with Asda and Waitrose participating. Fewer pubs are offering it, but there are some across the country.
To claim it, you sign up here, then purchase your beer and upload your receipt. You can then get up to £6 back from a pint or £2.75 back from a bottle. You get the money paid into your account within 30 days.
El Tab: 7 days for £1
Smartphone app El Tab offers Londoners up to four free drinks every night of the week in different bars across the city. It usually costs £24.99 a month but it’s currently offering a seven day trial for £1 with the discount code ‘THIRSTY’.

Free drinks via apps
These apps often have free drinks to claim.
Free drinks every day with Dusk
The app Dusk gives you a free drink each day at selected bars.
Just download the app and look for the bars participating. If you use the referral code AWEBB5 you’ll earn 500 reward points. I’m not sure they actually do anything right now, but there’s no harm in adding it to your account.
Free drinks with Embargo app
Another app, this one lets you check in to various venues to claim free drinks and discounts. Some are only available if you’ve collected ‘stamps’ from previous visits.
Use the code AMPLIFYING when you sign up. Not sure if there’s a reward but it’s worth a go!
Free drink with Mixr (ended)
Mixr is a new app that lets you search for, view menus at and book at any pubs and bars owned by Stonegate Pubs. You can also pay in the app and earn points.
It’s offering a free drink when you sign up for the app.
Free drink with Green King Sport app
Download the Green King Sport app to get 10% off future orders during live sport. There’s also the chance to win more free drinks and prizes such as tickets to gigs, festivals and sporting events.

There seems decent coverage of pubs across the big towns and cities (eg 9 bars in Leeds, 5 in York and 5 in Huddersfield), but you won’t be able to use it everywhere. You can see participating pubs in the offer section of the app.
