One of the things I love about my job is that I often get to talk on the radio about personal finance. It’s great fun, but at the most it’s just once a week. So I’ve started my own podcast, meaning I can talk as much as I like!

The plan is to talk every week to one of the members or friends of the UK Money Blogger community I run. We’ll use articles we’ve written as the starting point to share our experiences with money and tips to improve your finances.

The guest for the first episode is Lotty Earns. I first met Lotty when we worked together at Money Saving Expert, and we’ve stayed friends while we’ve built up our own blogs and careers as freelance personal finance journalists. Lotty is a master deal hunter, so this episode naturally has a slant towards bargains – but we also discussed her experiences as a first time buyer and the times we’re both happy to pay more.
