My pick of the best offers and savings.
Every week I spend hours looking at discounts and deals to pick the good from the bad. I’ll only share ones which I think are worth considering – but remember you’re only saving money if you’re buying something you need and can afford.
Don’t forget to check out my Clever Cash Deals Instagram account. This is where I’ll share any flash offers that will have come and gone by the time this roundup is published.

New Lloyds Bank £100 switch offer
This latest bank switch incentive is from Lloyds. You can get £100 for opening up a new Club Lloyds account and switching in from a different bank.
But there’s also a way existing Club Lloyds and Club Lloyds Platinum customers can get the offer. I’ve explained how and the other conditions in this article.
Boosted Amex welcome bonuses – including for existing cardholders
The joining bonuses for new American Express customers are fantastic ways to earn a decent boost on everyday spending. The problem is you can only get these if you’ve not had an Amex in your name in the last 24 months.
There are a couple of cards that do let certain existing cardholders earn a new bonus. I don’t usually recommend them as they come with huge annual fees.
But with temporary boosted welcome bonuses and another little trick, these could be worth hundreds of pounds – even if you’ve got a different card right now.
Here are the details and more in my September credit card round-up.
Raisin: £50 bonus on savings
If you’ve got £10,000 to save for at least six months then this new customer offer at savings marketplace Raisin will net you £50 – the equivalent of a 0.5% bonus if kept for a year. Here’s how to get it and my pick of the accounts.
NUS card: Alumni card trick
Long-time readers will remember the fantastic NUS/Totum card hack that could get anyone a student card, even if they weren’t at university.
That sadly ended a few years ago, but if you had a Totum card that expired, you might be able to renew it or apply for a new Alumni card. Here’s how.
Cineworld: Three months Unlimited offer
The all-you-can-watch membership from Cineworld usually has a 12-month minimum term – but until the end of October that’s reduced to just three months. Passes begin at £9.99 a month. Check them out here.
Airtime Rewards: £3 off £8 spend
There’s another promo code for Airtime Rewards until this weekend which will boost your cashback by £3 if you spend £8 at the likes of Argos, Primark and Boots. The money earned goes towards your mobile phone bill.

This week I tried to open a Club Lloyds account using the switch service but unfortunately as it is a joint account I am unable to complete the process. They do allow you to open a single account which you can then add a second account holder to but this defeats the objective of getting the switching bonus.
