You’ll already know iPlayer of course, but you might not know it’s radio brother. It works in exactly the same way – the last seven days on all BBC radio stations.
I love the app as it’s an easy way for me to listen to shows I love when it suits me. Plus of course it’s free!
If you don’t have a digital radio, it’s far easier than powering up the computer and far more mobile than using your TV.
Plus not only does it have the main networks, you can also get digital stations such as 6Music and 5Live Sports Extra and all BBC local radio.
It also works anywhere in the world – so this time last year I was listening to Glastonbury coverage in New York. Though make sure you only use it on wi-fi overseas or your data charges will go through the roof.
